Description

Hi Team,

Here i'm facing issue, Index.html files are creating every 5 min automatically under / in Centos 6.3 32bit rudder nodes. I have stopped rudder-agent service in node but still index.html files are creating every 5min once and same problem occurred on nodes which not yet accepted by rudder master which is listed on "Accept new node" under "Node Management" tab.

Kindly help us to troubleshoot this issue.

Here i'm attaching one Index.html file.

Regards
Santhosh

Thanks santhosh!

Are you sure they are created by rudder ? if service is stopped it cannot be created by the agent.

you can also try disabling it (rudder agent disable).

Are you defining to download or share a file within your policy?

Also, in addition to Vincent comment:

The downloaded index.html file is a Flex application. We don't have such a thing in Rudder. So our hypothesis is that there is something in the network between your 32-bits machines and rudder server that redirects to that application. Do you know if there is a proxy or something in that subnetwork?

Can execute on the node "rudder agent run -v > agentrun.log" and attach the corresponding agentrun.log file in that ticket?

Facing this issue on the servers where we have installed rudder-agent.

We have disabled rudder agent. still files are creating automatically.

I have not created any policy or technique, i have just installed rudder-agent on client nodes and accepted nodes on rudder master server. One important thing is index.html files are creating even on pending rudder-agent nodes(i.e list of servers in "Accept new nodes" in "Node management" tab). Also our custom application is running fine on other servers and index.html files are not creating and index.html creating automatically where we have installed rudder-agent.

we dont have any proxy.

Please find agentrun.log

Hello,

That "run agent" log does not contains what it should: there is no run!
I tested an installation on i686 and it works as expected, so I don't know what is happening on your machine. Could you tell us the result of the following commands on the centos 32bits node?

rpm -qa | grep rudder
rudder agent run -u
/opt/rudder/bin/cf-agent -KI

Thanks,
