Getting a server error page when creating a user with the same username

Description
While creating a new user, indicating a username that do exist already do not return an informative error but rather a server error page.
More generally, error from backend should be displayed in the error message, and the backend UI should be rendered (ie we should not have to do a F5 on these cases)
