Description

It is really hazy on /var

Rule of thumb
  • /var/rudder
  • > configuration-repository < 1GB (+ templates)
  • > share: ~ 4MB/node
  • > backup: ~ 4MB/node
  • > ldap: ~ 400MB + 1 MB/node
  • > inventories: ~ 1.5MB/node
  • > cfengine-community: ~ 150 MB
  • > shared-files: depending on what is shared between nodes

so about 1.5GB + 10MB/node + expected shared data

  • /var/log/rudder
  • > compliance: 10MB/node
  • > apache2: ~ 1MB/node
  • > webapp: this one varies between 1.5MB and 32GB given the log verbosity... ~ 0.5MB/node ?
  • > 200MB for the rest

So about 200MB + 11 MB/node
