Description

It is not possible to make a filter which contains only node with a 32 or 64bits distribution.
But it is really common to have to do specific things (and so, Rules) only on one arch.

There's a field in Fusion inventory HARDWARE -> ARCHNAME that may give us the information we need.

in reports it looks like

   <ARCHNAME>x86_64-linux-thread-multi</ARCHNAME>

We could keep that information and make it possible to filter with.

Do we have to add this in 2.4 ?

I fear it may be too late for 2.4 - unless this fix is really simple and already available :)

Otherwise, 2.5 will be fine.

That's a very good idea, but I don't think there's a way to be absolutely sure about the architecture

I'm sure that we can't do that with Fusion inventory directly

It's would be awesome to have that feature in the future (2.5 ?)

  • Description updated (diff)

That is hardly a bug, it's something that is just missing, and so I changed the tracker to user story.
