Would be nice to have the same search box filter there is in the directives panel in the rules panel.

That would make some sense, and reduce the size of the Directive tree (which can be very huge ...)

Nice idea indeed!

I don't know if it fits in 2.8 for now, I'll add it to our feature list.

Jon, Do you think that feature should be integrated to the 2.8 roadmap ?
