Instead of being sorted by their alphabetical order, groups and categories are sorted disturbingly... To me it looks like random as they're neither sorted by name nor ID.
I join a small screenshot as example.

Thanks for reporting this strange behavior. I can't reproduce it on other versions than Rudder 2.7.
François could you look into this please ?

It looks like the bug doesn't exist on 2.6.x:
