Bug #4902

Rudder standard installation should only include an admin user by default
Added by François ARMAND over 10 years ago.
Updated over 10 years ago.
Category:
System integration
Description
Demo users for Rudder (jon.doe, etc) should not be enabled in production installation.
They could be commented out so that one has example about how to fill the file.
In a normal installation, we should only let one admin user, with a password overridable at installation time.
- Subject changed from Demo users should not be enable in standard installation to Rudder standard installation should only include an admin user by default
- Status changed from New to In progress
- Assignee set to Matthieu CERDA
- Priority changed from N/A to 1 (highest)
We should provide an admin user with the credentials admin / admin to be more POLA compliant.
Then maybe use rudder-init.sh to change the password.
- Status changed from In progress to Pending technical review
- Assignee changed from Matthieu CERDA to Jonathan CLARKE
- % Done changed from 0 to 100
- Pull Request set to https://github.com/Normation/rudder/pull/542
I'm removing a bunch of text from this file to point at Rudder's documentation, but I notice that the documentation is incomplete about role management (there are no examples). I'm adding this to the documentation as part of ticket #4960
PR is ready
- Target version changed from 140 to 2.11.0~beta1
- Status changed from Pending technical review to Pending release
- Status changed from Pending release to Released
This bug has been fixed in Rudder 2.11.0~beta1 that was released yesterday.
