Description

If I set to restart "sssd" service, but at the same time would have a process containing "sssd" in it's command line - like for example: watch -n1 "ls -l /somepath/sssd/" - it would make the method fail.
It actually doesn't really fail, it considers that the service is running already and that nothing should be done.

This gets easily in the way!

Grmbl, that is clearly annoying.

Benoit, do you have any idea on how this could be improved ?

This was fixed in #7192 in master branch, we can try to backport a fix (systemd-based service status checks) for 0.x.

This bug is fixed in 4.1, and the required changes are considered too big and impacting to backport them.

I'm closing this ticket, users should upgrade to 4.1 when possible.
