On some systems it is not installed by default, we should find a way to add the repositories properly anyway.

There should not be more dependencies in rudder-setup than in rudder. Be careful to not depend on it when rudder doesn't.

Agreed, we discussed that with AMO already.
We should adapt the existing logic in os_detect.sh, making the required information (the OS suite, like 'xenial' or 'jessie') available using either lsb_release if available, or using something else if it isn't.
