The webapp/contributing.md has typo on some commands (@groupadd@), and some links/software versions are no longer up-to-date, and requires the @/opt/rudder/etc/rudder-pkg/rudder-pkg.conf@ file.
Other than that it works well (tested on a debian-based system, Pop!_OS, and 8.2 dev environment setup)
Edit: the VM args need to have @-Drun.mode=development@ or else the logs of the Webapp will not be included in the Jetty Runner output
