openfeature suggestion - acknowledge problem
Description
Individual promises might report problems for various reasons.
- a real, unexpected problem
- a quirk in the managed instance that is known but temporarily acceptable
- a quirk in the rudder system with no immediate remedy
for the last both cases it might be desirable to have a flag/checkbox
for each individual promise to exclude it from reporting, like the
"Acknowledge" function in nagios/icinga.
That would imply to have a summary view of all "Acknowledged" promises
since it would be easy to loose track of things on which there are no reports anymore -
and ultimately the original issue SHOULD get properly fixed.
Also: in very serious reporting, a problem is a problem, even though it is a known problem.
So there should be this overview/report of "known/acknowledged" problems.
We could disable the "semi-faulty" promise altogether by setting the condition to NEVER -
but that might not be desirable and it would probably be even harder to have an overview
of all promises that are excluded by this way.
I suggest this mainly for the individual "promises" of a user technique,
but consequently one might include a similar feature on the level of "directives".
