Description

Hello,

I am encountering an issue when running the Rudder agent on my server. Below is the error output:

"Could not retrieve the UUID of the policy server. Please check that the defined Policy Server exists, and that this Node IP address is in the Allowed Networks of its policy server."

It seems that the Rudder agent cannot retrieve the UUID of the policy server, even though both machines (the client and the policy server) are on the same network. I have already checked the connection between the two machines, and the network settings seem fine.

Could you please assist me in identifying why the node is unable to communicate with the policy server?
Additionally, I have added the authorized network on Rudder to allow this machine to connect, but the issue persists.

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

The node needs to connect to the server using port 443 - is it opened on the network ?
You can run the agent in inform mode by running
rudder agent inventory -i

and you'll get the curl exit code that would give more details
You can also try to restart Apache2/httpd on the rudder server
