Description

After upgrading to Fedora 31 I got:

You are using python 3 with an unpatched LooseVersion, merge functions won't work
You need to patch /usr/lib64/python3.7/distutils/version.py with http://bugs.python.org/file25808/14894.patch to make it work
Sorry for the inconvenience

from rudder-dev. It seems the given patch (from 2012) is not merged in to python stdlib, so we should not use it. We can use an external lib if needed.
