Description
The current directive creating/edition process is far from nice.
Some ideas that could help in a rework of the page:
Some ideas that could help in a rework of the page:
- keep a one pager formular (put the parameters and targets rules under the Information tab)
- make the tabs a scroll bookmark instead, except for the "Compliance" one
- parameters tool tips should be replaced with a drop down documentation on each field, action$nable when clicking on the field name
- each field should use a mechanism similar to the "description" field with a pen icon and an editable and view mode
- each field should be in view mode by default, except if it can not be empty or does not validate the constraints in case of parameters. This way, the creation of directive will be much shorted and every optional fields will not confused a new user.
- on the right side we could add a scroll indicator that change color when creating/editing a directive and could be used to follow the creation process and as scrolling bookmark for the user.
If this is done, we could apply the same logic to the rule webpage easily.
