This does not make sense. The cron file "rudder-agent-uuid" will only be useless once the main cron file "rudder-agent" contains a call to the script that also checks the UUID. That is introduced in #3930 and will only be in 2.8. Therefore, we must not remove this in 2.4.*.
Please add this logic to the PR in #3930. I'll reject this.
