Bug #4169
closedDocumentation is not clear on how to install rudder server root
Description
The procedure to install the rudder server root, as explained in the doc, is quite misleading, and it's easy to forget to run the rudder-init.sh.
Indeed, the doc says "Install Rudder Root server on Debian or Ubuntu", then lot of text, then "aptitude install rudder-server-root". Then a compatibility with RHEL (?), then SLES and then Redhat.
It's easy to think it's finished in the Debian or SLES at this point; but after the Redhat/centos, the doc says : "Initial configuration of your Rudder Root Server"
It should be clearly written that we need to configure the rudder root server (with a link to the section) after the Debian and SLES install

Well, it is now the case, the doc states:
aptitude install rudder-server-root Now jump to the next section to configure your server.
It is the case for Debian, SuSE and EL :)
Rejecting, as the original report is not relevant anymore.
