Description

Rudder menus are not nice to use:

  • the menu on left takes 150px which could be better used for the main content
  • its state is not persisted (if closed, it reopen on any page reload)
  • the navigation flow is not good: you almost always need two click to go somewhere.

I navbar with nice dropdown menu, like found on that site (or the dropdown menu of Bootstrap navbar: http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap/components.html#navbar

We can use Lift Menu.json http://scala-programming-language.1934581.n4.nabble.com/Updates-to-Menu-related-stuff-td1970312.html to have access to the raw menu structure and post-process it, or build our own HTML directly.

Après discussion avec Bruno Bonfils, il n'est vraiment pas fan des menus avec un sous-menu qui apparaît au passage de la souris. À son avis, le découpage des fenêtres, et les liens présents dans la barre du haut est à revoir autrement : par exemple avec plus de liens en haut.

Une idée :
  • Asset Management (search et groupes, peut-être à redécouper encore, voire à merger en un seul écran ?)
  • Policies (PT et PI)
  • Configuration Rules (lien direct vers l'écran CR et les % de conformité)
  • Administration (acceptation de nouveaux serveurs, configuration des IP/réseaux autorisés, utilisateurs, etc)

Qu'en dites vous ?

Oui, j'aime bien cette separation.
Toujours est il que ca ne resoud pas le pb du menu a gauche qui prend de la place et qui est vraiment pas ergonomique.
Peut etre un menu sur 2 niveau horizontaux ?

Yes please please please implement a new menu without the actual one on the left.
It'd be useful to go directly to the groups page without going to the node list first... (example)
