There is no validation of the URL: URL can accept any input:

URL to download file from: toto is accepted

For me, that raises the questions: what happens if the given URL is wrong? Where and when will it be checked?

And, indeed, curl is very liberal in the form an URL can be, the manpage says:

curl will do its best to use what you pass to it as a URL. It is not trying to validate it as a syntactically correct URL by any means but is instead very liberal with what it accepts.

I guess we should add something like the above sentence as comment for this field, if there is no other validation step at any moment.
