Description

The metrics script uses /opt/rudder/etc/uuid.root. We could reuse it but:

  • the name is quite confusing
  • we don't want to link it to this anonymous reporting tool

Something like /opt/rudder/etc/instance-id would be better imo.

As the relay and agent don't really need it and it is mainly to be used by the webapp, i think it makes sense to let it create the file.
