Description

#3487 added in patch_command in all package_methods on branch 2.6+ because CFEngine 3.4 is stricter on syntax than 3.2 (that we used up until Rudder 2.6).

When #3934 was backported to the 2.4 branch (merged just a few minutes ago), it introduced these patch_commands to the 2.4 branch. They should be removed.

CAUTION:
  • This ticket should be fixed before #3965.
  • This fix should NOT be merged into 2.6+ branches.

Sorry, my explanation was the wrong way around. Actually, the patch_command were removed from branches 2.6+, not added. So this ticket is to add them back into branch 2.4, but should still not be merged to 2.6+.
