It has always been like that, but in 6.0, something has changed that make search much more apparent and it's extremely unsettling.
The correct solution would be to have node details go to "rudder/nodeManager/nodeDetails/uuid" which would be like search page but init with just node details (which would also avoid an unecessary ajax request and would make node details more bookmarkable)
