Description
In #3615 the Node summary > IP address
with =
and ≠
comparators allows to search with CIDR IPs.
But we need this also in Network interfaces > IP address
.
Maybe also use other comparators, since it has less visibility with =
and ≠
- Related to User story #3615: IP search field with slash notation (subnet, mask, ip range) added
- Priority changed from N/A to To review
- Target version changed from 8.2.7 to 8.2.8
- Tracker changed from Enhancement to Architecture
- Priority changed from To review to N/A
- UX impact deleted (
It bothers me each time)
- Suggestion strength deleted (
Want - This would make my life a lot easier but I can manage without)
- User visibility deleted (
Getting started - demo | first install | Technique editor and level 1 Techniques)
- Effort required changed from Small to Large
It is a well know limitation that can't be changed without changing the underlying architecture (network interfaces not in LDAP).
This is a massive evolution.
Alternatively, we could explore adding a dedicated post filter like for regex, which is also a non trivial endaviour.
- Related to Enhancement #27036: We can search for CIDR in Node summary > IP address but it's not discoverable added
