Description

Hi,

I've put 4k new hosts in my rudder server and now I can't list the new node.

The manageNewNode page timeout.

There no error message in the /var/log/rudder/webapp/ directory.

Best Regards,

Arg.

I fear I have no obvious workaround. Could you try to give the webapp more memory ? It's clearly the best thing, but it could help to understand what is happening.

Also, I'm very intersted to know if you generated the node automatically, or if it's some real data.
In the first case, we would very very very much appreciate if you could share the script/tools used, so that it could be easier to reproduce the problem on our side.

Thanks,

Arg too! ;-)

I've setup another rudder server on my laptop (core i7 with 16Go of memory ;-)) and now I can see more 2k nodes in the manageNewNode screen.

I'am using tsung with fusion inventory templates files (350ko of xml / host).
I will give you the script in order to reproduces high load bugs, but I need to clean the code before ;-)

Best Regards,

Hi,

I've enabled LDAP debugging informations, and saw this :

Feb 4 15:33:52 nux slapd[14929]: conn=1002 op=26 SRCH base="ou=Nodes,ou=Pending Inventories,ou=Inventories,cn=rudder-configuration" scope=1 deref=0 filter="(objectClass=*)"
Feb 4 15:33:52 nux slapd[14929]: conn=1002 op=26 SRCH attr=objectClass nodeId nodeHostname localAdministratorAccountName policyServerId osName osVersion osKernelVersion osFullName cn ipHostNumber createTimestamp
Feb 4 15:33:53 nux slapd[14929]: conn=1002 op=26 SEARCH RESULT tag=101 err=0 nentries=1921 text=

You are loading all the database : nentries=1921

Maybe you sould let the ldap server manage pagging for you :
