Description

Many people tend to hang a few screens on their wall that display global application metrics and similar information.

Having a REST Interface for dashboard applications is (for some) becoming a standard feature.
It might be interesting (commercially or whatever you call it) to have an interface & demo for such a dashboard access.

I'm not sure there is any config management tool yet offering such an open data access.

quite a few run pretty inline dashboards, and some just have shitty red/green buttons for deployment.
There's brian bennett's example of pushing the promise kept % into graphite and that goes somewhat to the right direction.

Key idea is to make the infrastructure change / health info available to people that do not have the rights or reason to log on the actual interface.
Or instead of people, think of machines.

Probably the API has a lot of good info for it already but I think it needs to be checked which info needs to be available for such a M2M interface.
